Summer

I wake up, wrapped in silky sheets, lying in one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. As my eyes focus, I see Garrick, still sleeping soundly next to me. I can’t get over how handsome he is and how attracted I am to this man. And now… now we’ve taken our relationship to the next level, and it was fantastic.

Seriously. I haven’t had sex like this before. It’s as if Garrick knows exactly where and how to touch me to make me come. And come I did… multiple times. I’ve never had a partner like Garrick before, that’s for sure.

After our first romp in the living room, we watched as the sun went down over Portland, and the view was magnificent. I’m still shocked that he lives here. He owns this condo, as in he paid for it outright. He doesn’t have a mortgage. His grandparents must’ve been extremely wealthy if they were able to leave such a hefty sum to both Sophie and Garrick like this. I don’t know how much this condo cost him to buy, but Autumn’s fiancé rents an apartment somewhere in the Pearl District as well, and she’s told me how expensive his rent is each month. I can only imagine a place like this cost a fortune.

Suddenly, I’m filled with more questions about Garrick’s life. What did his grandparents do to make so much money? Are his parents rich, too? Although he told me about his childhood, he never made it sound like he grew up with a lot of money. It seems as though Garrick is extremely humble, and that only makes me like him more.

But I’d still like to find out the answers to my questions and learn more about his life. I’ll have to ask him later and hope it doesn’t offend him in some way.

I get up and pad over to the bathroom. Thoughts of last night fill my mind, remembering how wonderful everything was. After we enjoyed the view, we decided to watch a movie on TV, settling on Forrest Gump, which happens to be a favorite for both of us. It was nice to cuddle together on the couch while we watched it, and as soon as it ended, we decided to go to bed.

But we didn’t sleep. Oh, no. Garrick and I had sex again, and it was even better than the first time.

After using the bathroom, I crawl back into bed. Garrick stirs and then wakes up. He instantly smiles when he sees me, which makes my belly muscles clench. The effect this man’s charm has on me is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Sure, I’ve gotten butterflies in the past when a boyfriend would look at me a certain way, but to get that more intense, sexual pull feeling just from a single look is different.

“Good morning,” Garrick says.

“Good morning,” I reply, then lean over and kiss him briefly on his lips.

“Mmmm. I like that.” Garrick’s voice is a little deeper, more gravelly than normal, probably because he just woke up, and I find it sexy as hell.
